‘Senza Spreco’ is the name of the team that won the competition ‘Food Waste Reduction’, promoted by the Italian Foundation ‘Il Cuore si scioglie’ together with Impact Hub Florence, for the creation of a business devoted to reducing food waste.
‘Senza Spreco’ designed a web platform for the matching of supply and demand of food items that have been dismissed by traditional circuits (because of a near expiry date, or because of packaging flaws) but are still 100% good to eat. SenzaSpreco also promotes education interventions for responsible consumption.
