Getting to the core of social innovation

An article in the EU Research magazine (one of the world leading open access publication for scientific research and dissemination http://www.euresearcher.com/3/magazines) summarises the main results of the SI-DRIVE project (Social Innovation: Driving Force of Social Change www.si-drive.eu) by underlining the comprehensive concept of Social Innovation and referring to the main drivers and barriers.The authors – Jürgen Howaldt, Christoph Kaletka und Antonius Schröder – stress the necessary framework conditions and the establishment of social innovation eco-systems. A new innovation policy is needed recognizing the high potential of social innovation to solve the recent and future societal challenges.
